Franklin Farms, a producer of mushrooms and specialty foods, which closed its local operation, laying off more than 500 workers.

The company was anxious for workers and the community to know that they would bring in resources to help them find work.   In addition, the company would be selling most of its 300 acres and did not want local officials to make that sale difficult.

The Jewish Federation of Des Moines, which received community criticism for being unable to provide treatment for a Holocaust victim in a nursing home they oversee.

The Life Center’s staff did extensive work to place the individual in a more appropriate setting. Reasons of medical privacy did not allow any of these efforts to come to light. This left both institutions in a difficult public position, one that generated considerable controversy they could not address head-on.

Sarrocco Mechanical Systems, which was fined by the Connecticut Attorney General following an investigation of Waterbury City Hall corruption.

Sarracco Mechanical Services had a long history of quality and integrity in providing technical solutions in mechanical contracting, HVAC, plumbing and security systems.  It was important to employees of the company that the public understand the situation as an isolated incident and not a reflection of its character.
